iFrames are usefull for large sites, it involves each section of a page to have an individual page which are peiced together using iframe tags. Iframes are simple to create and save a great deal of time in the long run.

Ah, frames. Ever since they came onto the HTML scene, a debate has raged over whether they're good, bad, evil, or the end-all to page creation. I don't use them a lot simply because of load time. If I can get my point across on one page, why use three? That said, some people just love frames. With that in mind, I offer this look at how HTML 4.01 will affect your frames well into the future.

Frames are a little different than anything you've done in html in that you are not writing a page in the traditional sense. What you are creating is a template where more than one page can sit. Here's an example using TABLE commands

Frames, frames, frames. You either love them or hate them. Either way, you have to deal with them. Maybe you won't write them to your pages, but others do. One of the most popular formats of Web page design is that two-column, seamless-frame look. I have a tutorial on it here. Although I'm not a fan of frames myself, I do like this look when done correctly. You get a nice row of buttons down the left-hand side that controls what comes up in the right hand frame. It's a good look as long as the author only puts pages built for the format into that larger frame. But that doesn't always happen.

HTML frames allow you to display multiple HTML pages within the same browser. They allow easy updating for menus on web pages etc. The main disadvantage is that some search engines cannot crawl a framed website.
